A light 28 on a 660 won't balance very well. Personally, I think a 28 sprocket nose bar on a 660 will cut better with full comp chain. East coast wood cuts a lot better (and faster) with full comp in my experience. It also tends to kick a little less and bite better in harder east coast wood.
